I got my contract from the pre-school in the mail yesterday and I have been given a big raise. It isn’t like I make great money..the schools can only do so much especially at my position, but I really appreciate the offer!! It was a $2000/year raise. I was told we got $500/year, so I was surprised and very happy. I think that I will just take my availability for the state job down and stay with my current job at the pre-school. I do not think that I have enough experience anyway for the state job. Maybe in a couple of years if I am tired of working at the pre-school, I will take the exam again. The more years of experience you have the higher your score is and my special education experience with the pre-school will count towards that.
I think I am going to take Joshua to the library today to listen to stories. One of the local tv news anchors is reading and those are always fun to go to. Have a great day!!

Today I need to do my workout and clean the floors. Then later this afternoon Joshua has baseball practice.
My dad called last night. I guess he and my mom will be going to Oklahoma today to see my Granie, then come back on July 10th and then they are planning to go back on Julky 12th with me and Joshua. I was kind of prepared to go by myself and spend some time with Granie by myself, but I guess that will not happen. My Granie even told me she would go out shopping with me. She will not go if my mom is there. My mom shops too long. I do not stay out shopping very long. Maybe I can get my Granie to go and maybe my mom will stay home. I sound so mean, but my parents are going to be there all month long. I just wanted my Granie to myself for a little bit. It will be fine though. Have a nice day!!
Joshua’s game was a lot of fun last night. I talked to a friend of mine at the game last night. I was telling her about how I had found out that Joshua had been telling everyone that I had stayed home from the birthday party the other day to watch soap operas, and I was explaining that I was actually home doing laundry. She told me that “no, Joshua wasn’t saying that to everyone…that he had told Karl’s sister that and she was telling everyone that I was home watching soap operas”. Oh good grief, here we go again!! If you have been reading my blog for a while you know I go through these times with Karl’s family. It took me three years to forgive her for the last thing she did…it was much worse, I did not get an apology for what she did or anything, I just went on and I have been trying to forgive her and the rest of that family. Well, now she does this. I am so disappointed. I have been so nice to them too. It makes me sad to see her do this to me again.
Today I am going to take a day off from my workout. I have been doing a longer workout, I have been walking, then lifting weights, then doing my workout tape. I feel fine, I am just going to take a day of rest.
We stayed pretty busy yesterday and I got everything done except my cleaning. I got laundry done, but that is all. That is ok, I will clean today. Joshua had fun at the birthday party and we both had fun at Karl’s softball game last night. It was actually a little cool. We had to wear jeans and even at that, Joshua and I got cold. It was 63º at his gametime.
Joshua has a baseball game this afternoon. He only has a few more. The weather should be pretty nice again today. It is supposed to be 80º today.
I also plan to do my workout today. I will work on writing up that breakfast casserole recipe and get it posted. Have a great day!!
It was a nice relaxing weekend. I made a breakfast casserole last night, so we ate that this morning and had some orange juice. It was good.
I need to clean house and do laundry today and I also will do my workout.
Karl has a softball game tonight, so I think Joshua and I will go to that. Joshua also has a birthday party to go to this afternoon for a couple of hours. It is going to be a kind of busy day now that I think about it. I better get busy. Have a nice day!!

We are going to church today and then we will watch the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. We got the pool all cleaned up, but we need to make the ground more even. The pool was a little off last time. We will get some sand or something to put on the ground. Joshua was a little upset when he got home and the pool was empty. I had to explain that we just wanted to make it cleaner. He was ok with that.
Karl’s birthday is this Thursday. We are going to get him a birthday cake today and get his birthday present too. Well, I better get going. Have a nice day!!
Karl is helping the church again today. They are putting up fence for our church 4th of July celebration. He will probably be home after noon sometime. Joshua is at my parents house and will be home around 6:00 this evening.
We were having some problems with our pool, so we drained it yesterday and we are going to have to clean it and re-fill it. It should be ok once we get it filled.
I added some little graphics here at my blog in the different areas. Do you like it? I tried to add a poll yesterday, and I got it added and everything, but it was not working, so I just took it down. I think it looks cute in here now. It was a little plain before.
That is about all going on here. We may work on the pool later this afternoon, but that is all. Have a great day!!
