It is going to be another hot day around 100º today. Joshua and I will just stay in and take it easy. I need to do some laundry, but I will probably wait to do that this afternoon so the house does not heat up from the dryer. I have a lot of cleaning to do for Joshua’s party, but I am going to wait until later this week. I would just have to start over if I did it now.
We got Joshua’s birthday cake ordered yesterday. We will pick it up Friday evening. That is about all going on here. Have a nice day and stay cool!!

My friend Adriane came over yesterday and we worked on her MySpace site. It is so cute. She chose a Coach purse layout. It is so her and she loves it. She has found a couple of friends already, so I hope she has fun. I love my MySpace site. It is so much fun. It is here if you want to see it.
Today we are going to church and then we will come home and watch the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game and go back to church this evening. Last week the evening sermon was the role of a wife in a marriage. Tonight it is the role of the husband in the marriage. It has been good. If you want to hear the sermon about the wife’s role…you can find it here. It is called God’s Word for Godly Women. You can watch the sermon or listen…it is about 30 minutes. There is also a place to subscribe to the messages on Podcast. I am not sure how that works though. I do not have an Ipod.
It is supposed to be 100º here today. It was really hot the past two days too.

My dad picked Joshua up around 1:00 yesterday and Joshua will be back home this afternoon. He has an end of the season pool party tonight for his baseball team from 7-9PM. It should be fun and the boys will get their trophy’s.
Karl and I cleaned Joshua’s room last night. It took us 2 hours and we had one big bag of trash and one bag of toys to take to the pre-school. We can at least walk around in there now and see the floor. It was getting really gross in there and his party is next Saturday. Hopefully we can keep it clean until then. I also got Joshua’s invitations in the mail for his birthday party.

Joshua had a great time at Predator World. He got to feed the sharks and pet a snake. It sounds like a really neat place. The snake would have given me the creeps, but I am glad he got to do that. Maybe he will not be so scared of them like I am. I probably would have had nightmares just seeing one.
My parents finally called last night at 9:00 or so. They had just gotten home from Oklahoma. They stayed a little longer than they thought they would. They are coming to get Joshua today at 1:00 and he will stay the night. :zzz:
We got some rain last night!! It was so much needed. Joshua got scared and came and slept with me. Karl had gone to work really early, so he was gone and we had the whole bed. When we woke up we snuggled. It was nice.
I should probably clean the house a little bit and do laundry today. My haircut turned out just fine yesterday. It feels so much better. I am glad I have it out of the way. Have a great day!!

My MIL is picking Joshua up this morning and taking him to Predator World. It is an aquarium. She was going to take him earlier this Summer,. but he decided he wanted to see the movie “Cars” instead. Anyway, they will go to Predator World today…they have sharks and ocean animals, so it will be a fun trip for him I am sure.
My parents were supposed to pick Joshua up today. They were supposed to call last night and let me know when they would be by and what was going on, but I never did hear from them. So Joshua may or may not be going to stay the night with them.
I am going to get my haircut later this afternoon. It is driving me crazy. It will be so nice to have it out of my eyes. I am just getting it trimmed, nothing drastic or anything. Have a great day!!

Today is the last day of Vacation Bible school. It has been a lot of fun. They have been learning from Exodus about Moses and the plagues. That will be fom 9-noon.
I did not get much done yesterday. I still need to make an appointment to get my hair cut. I will do that today. I do not have much else going on today. I may do some laundry though since Joshua is going to stay the night with my parents tomorrow. I will want to make sure all of his clothes are clean. I will probably work on his Birthday invitations. I have everyone’s address now except one, so I will need to make a phone call to get that address too. Just a few little things to do. They will not take long. Have a great day!!

I took the job at the pre-school as the teacher. I am so excited and I am really looking forward to it. It is funny looking back on this…I never thought being the teacher was even an option. I was trying to decide on the state job or the teacher’s aide position. God has worked everything out and it is so clear how His hand has moved. I am so thankful and the pay increase will be very helpful to us. I will not be making much less than I would have with the state and I feel like it is just better for me and my family. I will get to be with Joshua more and still have the great school vacations. We start back to school in 3 weeks. I can hardly believe it.
