Happy Halloween!! We will be having parties at the pre-school and Joshua is having a party at school too. I wish I could be there.
Tonight we are taking Joshua trick-or-treating at City Hall and around the neighborhood early and then going to the church Fall Harvest party. It will be a lot of fun!! He is dressing up like a doctor. Have a great day!!
Today we are going to church and then we will watch football games. I will have to clean house and do laundry. Karl and Joshua will go back to church tonight. Joshua is in the Children’s Choir at church, and he hasn’t been in a while because of camping and going to Oklahoma, so he needs to be there. I will stay home and get the housework done. The Cardinals won the World Series!! We all watched together and enjoyed the game very much. I wish we could have been there. Well, now I wait until Spring Training to get to watch them again. I just LOVE baseball.
Today we went to a book sale at a place called Books Are Fun. I didn’t find anything I couldn’t live without, so we came back home and headed over to the Fall Harvest Festival here at our town. It was fun. There were crafts and good food, square dancing, costume contests, a talent show and a live band was there too as well as games for the kids. I enjoy going to this every year. Then we came home and watched “Walk The Line”…the movie about Johnny Cash. We enjoyed it.

I thought this would be a long week since I had no sleep last weekend, but it has gone pretty quickly. I am glad for that. The kids have been doing really good too. I have a half day with kids today and I really need to do lesson plans this afternoon, it has been a long time since I have done any and I am going to run out of them if I do not get busy.
Joshua is all better from his viral infection. We had his parent/teacher conference last night and his teacher said he was doing really well. He seems to be in a phase where he is learning a lot right now. I am really happy about that. He has no school today because of Parent Teacher conferences, so he will go to my sister-in-law’s house and play with his cousin.
It is Harvest days here in my town this weekend. We will run out there tomorrow and enjoy the fun and there is also a book sale in a nearby town I would like to go to.
We are also still enjoying the World Series. The Cardinals are up 3 games to 1…so I suppose if they win tonight it is over, but otherwise we will be watching it this weekend too. Have a nice weekend!!
Joshua did not end up going to school on Monday, he woke up and his cough sounded even worse, so he stayed with my mother-in-law and he went to the doctor too. He had a viral infection and so he didn’t need any medicine. He went back to school yesterday and they had a field trip to a pumpkin patch. It was an AR Field Trip. The kids who met their reading goals got to go on the field trip. Joshua said he had fun. He even got a little pumpkin to bring home.
We have also been watching the World Series in the evening. GO CARDINALS!!
We have our Parent Teacher conference on Thursday. I will post again Friday or Saturday. Enjoy the rest of your week!!
The Family Reunion went well and we had a lot of fun. It was good seeing Granie and everyone else too. Joshua didn’t have any trouble with his asthma until Sunday morning, so we just came home when we got up and made it home in time to get the house cleaned up and do laundry. I also got the house decorated for Halloween. I took a 2 hour nap yesterday too because we were up at 5AM both days. I am going to have a long week with so little rest.
We have been enjoying the World Series and the St. Louis Cardinals. I am excited they have won a game!! The last time we were in the World Series we got swept by the Boston Red Sox.

Joshua has a half day of school and I am taking off early from work. I will get off at 11:30 and Joshua is done at 12:30. I think my parents will be by around 1:30 to pick us up and we are going to Oklahoma for a family reunion. The reunion is on my mom’s side of the family…my Papa’s family. It will be on Saturday from 10-3PM. I think it will be fun. We are staying with my Granie. We will head back home on Sunday morning. I will have lots of housework to do once I get home.
The St. Louis Cardinals won their game last night and they are going to the World Series!! I am so excited and happy for them. I actually didn’t think they would make it very far. They are hurt and not playing well…neither were the Mets, so it made the game more even, but I cannot say the same for the Detroit Tigers…we will see how it goes.
I will probably not post again until Monday morning. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
