Get Your Kicks on Route 66!!

http://www.tsohgraphics.com/

I thought I was at the wrong blog this morning when I dropped by my blog. Jana has been working away at it. It is looking good. She is using a different template than I had before, so that will be fun.

I did get Joshua’s drawers and closet cleaned out yesterday. I did a little of mine, but it is an overwhelming talk and I had to stop. I got rid of a few things though before I stopped.
Today we are going to church and then we are going to take a Road Trip down Route 66. We live really close to it and I lived just off of it in college in Joplin. We are just going to drive from Springfield to Joplin I think. If we get back in time, I need to do laundry. We watched the movie Cars last night and Karl decided it would be fun to drive Route 66….well part of it and show Joshua. We still drive the backroads when we travel to Oklahoma, so we do not miss the small towns. I am sure you know what Route 66 is, but if not here is a link: Route 66 and you can see the great history of this wonderful road! I better get going. Have a great day!!

more de-cluttering

http://www.tsohgraphics.com/

Jana is still working on my blog, she had to start it all over, but hopefully it will work properly when she is finished and you will all be able to post in the comments section or tagboard when you visit.

I got the rugs and curtains washed yesterday and I cleaned out my drawers in my bedroom. I really need to clean my closet too. I may just wait and do that in May. We will be cleaning up around here again at that time. We will mostly be cleaning outside in the shed though. We will see. Maybe I can get it done today. I need to do Joshua’s clothes too, but he is not here right now and he needs to try things on. He hates to do that, but he grows so fast and I need to check on things to see if they still fit. There is nothing on tv to keep me from cleaning, so maybe I can get some things done. Have a great day!!

laundry

friday

Joshua is at my parent’s house, so I have the house all to myself today. I do need to get the curtains and rugs washed, so I will work on that today. I also want to do a little more housework. It will not take long.

I went out to eat with my parents and Joshua last night. We went to eat Chinese. Karl does not like Chinese so he stayed home. It was a pretty quiet day.

I have started working on my Valentine’s Day pages. I will not have time once I go back to work, so I have the graphics up and all I have to do is add the goodies when we all send them out.

Jana is fixing my blog, so hopefully you will all be able to post in the comments section when she gets done. It is pretty messed up. Thank-goodness she knows what she is doing because I have no clue. Have a great day!

resting

thursday

I had so much fun shopping yesterday. I was able to find a little bit of everything. I posted pictures of what I got at the very end of the post. Everything was on sale for 50% off, so I did
well. I just used my gift cards, but I was able to get a lot for the money. Then Joshua and I went to Wal~Mart and I was able to get some Christmas Cards 50% off, so we are set for next Christmas too. We also saw Joshua’s friend from school (Dustin) at Wal~Mart, so that was fun.

I also got to chat with Miss Tammy and Miss Adriane on the phone yesterday and they both had a really nice Christmas too. It was a fun day. My dad also called last night. He is going to pick Joshua up this afternoon and Joshua is going to stay a couple of days with my parents.

Oh, we also got rid of some more stuff that was in our attic. The house looks so much better. We are done cleaning for a while now, we will just rest. Have a great day!!

I decided to share pictures of the goodies I got yesterday:

sweats
The sweats I bought are actually a different brand and they are a chocolate brown color. They loook very similar though. They are Velour and so soft!!
sweater
My sweater is red.
pajamas
I have this set of pajamas and another set that is white with different colored polka dots and snowflakes.
jeans
These are corduroy chocolate brown jeans.

going shopping

wednesday

We got a lot done yesterday. I worked on laundry and getting the house cleaned up and then when Karl got home we cleaned our “junk room”. It isn’t actually full of junk, it has our holiday stuff in it, so it is not organized at all. Anyway, we went in there and cleaned it. That will be one of the rooms that gets new windows, so we needed to make it look nice in there. We are not quite done yet, but when our Christmas tree comes down, we will get things all put away and there are some things in there that go in the living room, so we will get it all organized after the tree comes down. I think we are going to work on the attic this afternoon. It isn’t too bad though. There were also a few gifts in there that I had put away because I got them when Joshua was a baby and I didn’t want them broken, so I got them out. There is a set of candles that sit in this stone and they have rocks around them, and a large glass candle holder and candle. I have those sitting out now, so it looks like we have new house decorations. I also got rid of some old things that were broken. It was a productive day. The house looks all nice and clean because I did get all of the Christmas Decorations put away too…except for the Tree and outside lights which will come down after the New Year.

Today I am hoping to go shopping for a little while. I got some gift cards and I want to see if I can get anything to wear for work or whatever. I would like to get some pajamas too and maybe some sweats. I better get busy. Have a great day!!

cleaning house

tuesday

We made it home yesterday early evening. I posted last night if you would like to read a bit more about our trip. Today I was going to go shopping, but I think I will stay home and clean house and maybe take down some of our Christmas Decorations. We always leave our tree up until New Year’s, so it will stay up along with our outdoor decorations. I am not wanting to take things down though, so we will see how far I get. Everything looks so pretty. I do like a nice clean house though, so we shall see what happens.

I put together some of Joshua’s toys he got for Christmas last night, so maybe he can play with some of those today also. He got this Pac Man game you plug into the tv and play on the tv and he got a pinball machine (a small one).

I will be by to visit soon!! Have a great day!

Merry Christmas!!

monday

It was a wonderful trip and a great Christmas. I always get stressed out over the holidays and I was nervous about going to Granie’s because of Joshua’s asthma, but he did great!! We have been praying and Joshua is still coughing, but he had no troubles with his wheezing at all. The motel we stayed at was nice. It was nice to be able to get up and get showered at our convenience. My Granie only has one bathroom, so I am always worried someone will need in when I am in the shower. Anyway, all of the family was there on Christmas Eve and we opened presents and then today we had Christmas Dinner and we decided we had better get home. I hope you all had a Blessed Christmas too!
