It is New Year’s Eve.!! I have a lot I need to do today. I need to give Mandy a bath, clean house, do laundry and I am thinking about putting away the Christmas stuff today instead of tomorrow. We usually put things away on New Year’s Day, but we will be watching the Cotton Bowl tomorrow morning since Mizzou is playing and Karl’s family is having their Christmas tomorrow afternoon. It will be a busy day, so I am thinking today would be a better day to get this stuff done.
We never go out or do anything for New Year’s Eve. We will just watch the ball drop on tv. I do not like to be out on night’s like this where people are drinking and driving.
Have a very Happy New Year 2008!!
I was not clear in my last post. The flu shot does not make me sick, I just get the flu in spite of getting the flu shot, I get the flu whether I have had the shot or not. I think I will get one next year since I work with the kids, I get exposed to so many different strains and then Joshua’s too.
Anyway, we went to Oklahoma yesterday to see my Granie. My mom and dad stayed so they were there too. We had a lot of fun. We visited and had a nice dinner and we opened presents. We got home late, so we did not make it to church today. Joshua did not have a bit of trouble with his breathing, so that was nice too. We decided to take Mandy with us and she was so good. She just slept in the van and at Granie’s we had her stay outside in the yard. Granie has an old dog and I didn’t want Mandy making her nervous. Mandy did good though and Joshua played outside with her some and we checked on her several times. It was a nice day outside.
We need to go to Wal~Mart today. I will get off here and get showered and ready. Have a nice day!!
I am feeling much better today. It seems like when I get the flu, I get it for several days. Maybe I do need to get a flu shot. I always get the flu when I get a flu shot, but I wonder if it would help on the amount of days I am sick. Let me know if you know the answer. This is also the second time I have had the flu. I had it back in October with that cough that hung on forever.
Today I have to do laundry. I had planned to do it yesterday, but I did not get anything done.
I do not have a lot planned for today, I will be by to visit blogs soon. Have a wonderful day!!
I was sick again this morning. I actually had a bit of a tummy ache yesterday too, but I have had to stay close to the bathroom today, not fun. I guess I need to get some rest. I must still have a little touch of the flu. I do not feel awful though, so that is good. I do not deal well when I am achy all over.
We took my car to the dealership yesterday and they looked at it this morning. It is going to cost less than I thought. I am so thankful and I did some praying about it too. We will pick it up tomorrow and hopefully it will be all set and ready to go.
I am not sure I will be by to visit today since I am not feeling well. Have a nice day!!
We had a nice quiet Christmas. We had a wonderful dinner and Joshua and Mandy opened their presents from Santa. We watched a parade on tv and a movie later in the day then when it got dark we took Joshua and Mandy to see Christmas lights. We had a lot of fun.
Karl has to go back to work today. I plan to sleep in and hopefully Joshua and Mandy will too. I do not really have to do anything today, so I will just relax and do whatever I want. We do have to take my car to get it worked on this evening. We will drop it off and they will look at it tomorrow. The news says it could snow, so hopefully it doesn’t because I do not like to drive in the snow. Have a wonderful day!! I will be by to visit soon.
Well, I had the flu yesterday, so we had to stay home. I was araid that would happen, since Joshua just had the flu on Friday, but I am thankful I got sick before we left so I didn’t make any of my family sick. We plan to go to Granie’s on Saturday unless it snows.
Joshua opened his gifts last night. He got some clothes and a Corgi book…it is a kid’s fiction book. It is really cute. I found it at Amazon.com. He got lots of computer games from Santa and his Corgi Calendar. He is so excited. Mandy opened her presents last night too. She got a coat and some greenies. Then from Santa she got a sheep. Corgi’s are sheep herding dogs, so I get her these crazy “sheep” dog toys to play with.
I am feeling much better today. I am glad it was only a 24 hour thing. Maybe we will go see some Christmas lights later tonight.
I need to get in the kitchen now though. We are having ham, turkey, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans and hot rolls. Just a small dinner for the 3 of us and Mandy will get some goodies too I bet.
Merry Christmas and have a great day!!
We are off to Oklahoma today for Christmas Eve. We will spend the day with my family at my Uncle’s house in Bixby, Oklahoma. We will open gifts and have Christmas Dinner and spend time with Granie, then we are coming back home this evening. Joshua has trouble with his breathing at Granie’s in the Winter, so this will work out better I hope. We are having Christmas Dinner here at home tomorrow too just the three of us, I will be back tomorrow to post about our day. We did get our Christmas shopping done and the house is all cleaned up too. Happy Christmas Eve.!! Have a nice day!!
