Today we are meeing my friend Adriane at church and then we probably need to get some groceries and then I have to clean house and do laundry.
I ran out of medicine yesterday and had to call the doctor. I had called it in Monday, but the pharmacy never got the order from the doctor to fill the precsription. Karl dropped by a couple of days last week to check and it had not been filled. I called the doctor’s office on Thursday and they had sent them the prescription on Monday, but the pharmacy never got it. The doctor’s office called the pharmacy, but we never made it back until yesterday and the pharmacy was closed. I panicked because I have to have my medication, it is for seizures. Anyway, the doctor called me in a 2 day supply to Walgreens and we picked it up yesterday. That was scary. I think most of you know, but I have epilepsy and without my medication, and I would have missed 3 doses, I would for sure have gone into Grand Mal seizures. Scary.

We had a busy week and it went by fast. The new kids we got at the pre-school are all wonderful. I really enjoy them. I wish we would have had this many kids all year, it is so much more fun with more kids. The time also flies when we are so busy.
I did not have class this week at the college, but I did get my reading done for my class and I am all set to return to my class on Wednesday night.
The St. Louis Cardinals are in town here playing the Springfield Cardinals (Baseball). We did not buy tickets this time. We will watch on tv though.
It has been raining a lot here. They are saying more flooding rains Sunday and Monday.
I am just resting today. I am very tired from all of the rain. The sun needs to come back out.

Friday Fun: Style Edition

I was watching something on TV yesterday about what was “in” or “not in” for women of various age groups. I was looking at the things they were showing as “in” for a woman of my age (I’ll be 38 this summer!) and, while I liked them, they were SO not me. So I thought I would explore style and age this week. Keep in mind that I am talking about day to day clothing, not “club” clothes or anything like that!

1. Which decade do you fall in? 20’s, 30’s, etc.? I won’t ask for an exact age! 30’s
2. Do you subscribe to the theory that there are age appropriate clothes? Or can they, in general, span the generations? as long as people do not look tacky, I think they can wear whatever…if they can pull it off.
3. Do you think you “dress your age” in accordance with the current “appropriate” styles? yes
4. Are there “young” clothes that you wish you could wear but don’t feel like you still can? Is it based on your age or body type? yes, I cannot wear things because I need to lose some weight. I would wear them if I could, I like to wear trendy clothes.
5. Do you find that you are more comfortable in your own skin as you get older? oh yes.
6. Do you have a thing for a particular kind of clothes? Like you love all things cargo pants, or tennis shoes, or T-shirts, etc.? my sweats or pajamas, I like to be comfortable.

I go to work at noon today, so Joshua will go to school at 8AM, I will take a shower, and I will try to maybe come and visit blogs before I go to work. We are having a work day today at the pre-school. We will just be making copies for lesson plans and getting things ready to go for Tuesday. We have several new kids starting this week, I think we have 4 new kids. That is kind of hard when you start that many new ones at once, but we will manage.
We had a wonderful Easter. We went to church and the service was amazing!! We had to run to Wal~Mart for a few things and then we came home. We had chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, and macaroni and cheese for lunch. It was nothing special, just the three of us, but it was a good dinner. I also made a cheesecake for dessert. Mandy and Joshua loved their Easter baskets and I got some cute pictures of them. They had fun hunting eggs too and yes Mandy hunted eggs. She was funny, she would sniff the egg and nudge it with her nose. Joshua said that meant she found it, so he put it in the basket for her. She had some plastic eggs with dog treats in them and she opened one of those by herself and took out the treat and ate it. She didn’t break the egg either.
Well, I guess I had better get moving. I need to do some reading this week for my night class, but I do not have that class this week as we are on Spring Break there now. Have a nice week!!

The funeral was nice yesterday. I am kind of glad that stuff is over. We came home afterwards and I started housework. I have the house all cleaned up. I just need to do laundry later today. We also watched “The Miracle Maker” movie last night, we taped it when it was on tv several years ago. I have never seen it on tv again. I did see it on amazon.com though, we may try to get the DVD, it is kind of a tradition at our house to watch that every year. It is claymation and fun for Joshua to watch. Karl and I enjoy it too, and it sticks to the Bible. I have trouble with movies when they stray from the actual story in the Bible.
We are going to Easter service this morning. Joshua and Mandy will be getting their Easter baskets this morning also. I will take pictures, but I doubt if I have time to post any of them. Joshua and I colored eggs yesterday, so we will be hunting those later today too. We will have a nice Easter Dinner when we get home from church, then we will have fun with the Easter eggs. It is supposed to be cool today, in the 40’s.
I go back to work Monday, but we do not have kids, it is just a work day. We are going in at noon and working until 3:30PM. The kids return Tuesday and we will have several new kids joining us this week. I will not have night class this week, we are on Spring Break at the college now. That will be nice to be able to stay home this Wednesday night. Joshua goes a full day on Monday back to school.
I have had a great week getting caught up with all of you!! I will be back to my regular visits now on Saturday or so. Have a very Happy Easter!!!

Today is Karl’s Grandma’s funeral at 10AM. I am not sure when we will be home. The visitation went well last night and a lot of people came. Many of us went and had some dinner afterwards. It was nice to all be together and we had fun. There were 21 of us. It is a hard time, but it is good to be together. I will visit blogs when we get home. Have a nice day!!

Today is Good Friday. There will be a nice service at the church today, but I will be staying home and waiting for Joshua to come home from my parents house. They will be here around noon.
I got the rugs and curtains washed yesterday and did my laundry also and changed the sheets. We also got the new chairs from Karl’s parents, but one of them smells like pee, so we have been trying to steam clean it, but it isn’t working. It is really gross. I guess his sister will need to clean it. She has a carpet cleaning business. We need our floors and furniture cleaned. Anyway, the chair smells so much like pee, Mandy got in the chair and pee’d in it. This was his Grandma’s chair. I would like to get it where we can use it and it not get ruined.
The visitation for Karl’s Grandma is tonight from 6-8. We will be doing that this evening.
Karl and I along with the steam cleaner got Easter goodies for Mandy and Joshua’s Easter basket last night. I got the baskets all ready to go. We also picked up some groceries.
Mandy has still been sad from Linda Mae leaving. I will be glad when Joshua gets back. She will not play with me at all. My friend Adriane came to visit yesterday and Mandy was happy then, but after Adriane left, she was sad again. She is outside right now and there are some dogs visiting her at the fence.
