Karl had a nice birthday. I was able to get out of the toddler area at church earlier than normal…I usually have to stay 30 minutes later to wait for a volunteer parent…and we went and had a nice lunch. Then we came home and he relaxed and played his new game. I did laundry, rested a bit and cleaned house.
I was also able to listen to my lecture for this week for my online class and print out some practice homework pages. We have some hard homework this week. I do not understand it at all. I am just going to have to sit and go over the pages over and over and hope it clicks. I will have to pray about it.
Today I am off to my class at the college for swimming and the lecture is today also. That will take up most of the day, so I will not do much homework tonight. I will start with that tomorrow again. I hope you have a great week and if I do not get back on here, have a wonderful 4th of July!!

Today is Karl’s birthday!! Happy Birthday Karl!! We are going to church and then we plan to go and have a nice lunch for his birthday. He said he wants bbq, so that sounds wonderful, I am excited. Karl got a video game for his X-Box and a book for his birthday from me and Joshua and he got some money from his parents. They also called this morning to wish him a Happy Birthday.
When we get back home I have to do laundry and clean the house.
Ok, so Friday I was debating on whether to do homework or to relax this weekend. I did not get any homework done at all. I just relaxed and took a break. I think I kind of needed that. I am refreshed and ready to jump back in to my studies now. I doubt if I have time to do anything today, but maybe on Tuesday. Monday is my long day. I go swimming, then straight to lecture.
We had 5 1/2 inches of rain here at our house yesterday. There were towns with 8 inches that were flooding. This has happened so many times this year. These towns that flood are on rivers or near the lakes and get flooded everytime we have a big rain. I was worried when it rained so hard all day yesterday that it might be flooding in some communities and it did. I saw they were doing water rescues on the news last night. We are safe here in our town, the grass just gets soggy.
Joshua and I watched the Finale of Groomer Has It last night on Animal Planet. Congratulations to Artist!!
Well, I better get the day started, it is going to be a busy one.

Joshua and I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. The weather was really pretty. Joshua played out a lot with Mandy and I was decorating my blog for Summer. I will switch it after the 4th of July. It was nice to have a day just to do what I wanted and not have to do homework.
Today it may rain a little. We shall see. I may listen to some lectures for my online class. I got a call last night from the church and they have me working in the toddler room this Sunday. I was surprised because I only work every other weekend and I worked last weekend, but since I only work every other weekend, she said they have the volunteers work on the 5th Sunday. I forgot about the 5th Sunday. I was looking forward to getting to see my friend Adriane. Did I mention that we signed up to work together and we never have been able to work together in the toddler rooms. Adriane is working with the babies now. It is frustrating, we do not even work the same service, so we do not get to see each other. Well, I better go. I am bummed now. Have a great day!!

It turned out to be a pretty nice week. The weathermen had rain in the forecast everyday this week, but it didn’t rain at all. We could use a little to cool things off.
The pool felt great this week for my class with the hot weather, so I enjoyed that and Joshua went swimming yesterday with my MIL and SIL and cousin’s. They had a great time and Joshua got a little sunburn, he doesn’t tan at all, he has the whitest skin in the world, he had on tons of sunscreen too. It isn’t bad at all. I am glad he got to go.
I managed to get all of my homework done for this week, but I may try to work ahead today to get ready for next week. I am not sure, I kind of just want to not do any school and just enjoy a Summer day ya know? The thing is, I have the online class, and we have to try to figure things out ourselves so much. I had a classmate to e-mail me last night asking for help. It is the Normal Language Aquisition class and I am lost too, but I have my friend Adriane who is a speech pathologist who I have been asking questions. I tried to help my classmate as much as possible. It feels good to help, I hope I told her the right things.
I cannot believe the 4th of July is almost here. I am not sure what we are doing. We usually go to our church fireworks, but Karl said he didn’t know what he wanted to do, so I am not sure either I guess.

I slept in a little yesterday and today. I was able to get the laundry finished up yesterday, but I always do it again on Sunday to start the week fresh.
It turned out to be a really nice day yesterday after they said it might rain. The morning was rainy, but it cleared off and was really sunny and nice. Joshua played out a lot with Mandy. Kat you were right, it isn’t flooding here where I live.
I am going to try and get some homework done today. It is another nice day, so Joshua will probably play out agian. Have a nice weekend.

We had bad weather last night, I barely made it home from my class yesterday and we were under tornado warnings. They went on all evening and they say we could have more of the same today. Joshua and I will be staying in today to say the least.
It was a good week. We started the activites with the kids. I really love going swimming at the pool. The time goes by so fast. We go to a gym the other two days. We are with the kids for an hour each day.
Joshua went to my parents house to spend the night on Wednesday morning and he came back Thursday afternoon during the tornado warning. I do not think my dad knew about it. They were safe though, the tornado was going to the east of us in the county we live in.
I have been a lot busier than I thought I would be, but still not as busy as I was last Summer. Joshua is still doing his “homework”. He has read several books and is practicing his cursive handwriting as well as writing stories. I love his stories, they are so cute. I have been able to spend a lot of time with him in the evening.

I have my class worked out. I had lecture all week from 1:30-4:20, but next week and for the rest of the Summer I have been assigned 2 kids to work with with a partner. We will go play at the pool on Mon/Wed from 1:30-2:30 and we have a gym we will go to on Tues/Thurs 1:30-2:30…also on Monday we have lecture from 3-4:20. We will just play in the pool, nothing that is any big deal and at the gym, we have balls and all kinds of toys to play with the kids. We basically will be working on gross motor activites. My other class is online and I have just been doing it as I have time. It has been fine. I will have more time next week, this week has been kind of intense with all of the lectures.
I am caught up on my quizzes and homework, so I am going to rest a little today and do laundry. I will be by to visit also. It is supposed to rain today, so it is a good day to relax. :zzz:
