Today we are going to church and then I would like to clean house and do laundry. I also need to do some reading for one of my classes, but that will not take long at all. I may do some deocrating here at my blog also. I am not sure.
We watched college football last night. That was fun. It is hard to believe it is time for football. We also gave Mandy her bath. I am so glad that is taken care of. She is getting heavy. She doesn’t like her bath either, so she fights it a little bit. She smells so good now though.

It was a busy week. My classes went fine. We haven’t done much yet since it was the first night, but we had a lot of paperwork to fill out since the classes are both practicum classes where I will be working with students. We have to have a TB test, background screen, etc for those classes, so we were getting that kind of paperwork and filling out what we could. I have been working on getting that stuff together this week also. We did get out early from both classes this week, so that was very nice. I think both teachers are going to try to get us out by 8PM, so that will get me home a bit earlier so I can go to bed.
We are not quite done with our About Me books at the pre-school. We will finish those up next week and start the Farm Animals theme. The books turned out really super cute and I know the parents will love them.
Karl, Joshua and I went to a baseball game last night. It went into extra innings, so we did not get home until after midnight. It was fun though and that was the only game I was able to go to all Summer because of my classes. I was glad to get to do something fun. They set off fireworks at the end and we got a voucher for free tickets to a game next season of our choice. Karl threw out the first pitch too!! It was Laborers Local night, he is in that Union, so the tickets were free from the Union.
I slept in this morning. I was so tired. I think we will watch some football today and I would really like to get Mandy’s bath given to her. I will be by to visit soon. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!! We are staying home, so I will be around.

It is a new week. This week at the pre-school we will be doing the “About Me” theme. I enjoy this theme a lot. We will make a book with handprints and footprints, etc. I plan to take pictures of the kids and put those in their books also. It will be fun.
I also start my college classes this week. I have Principles of Development in Early Childhood on Monday night and Introduction to Elementary Education on Tuesday night. So as you can see, these are intro courses and they should not be as difficult as some of the other classes I have taken, but I am sure I will be tired going from work at 8 AM (I get up at 6AM) straight to class…classes are from 5:30-8:20PM and then back home to go to bed 2 nights in a row. I will have to leave at 4:30 PM for classes and I will not get home until 9PM. My classes are a 45 minute drive away or so. Those will make for long days. I bet they go fast though.
I apologize for not making it by to visit this weekend. I will hopefully be able to visit next weekend, especially since it will be Labor Day weekend. We had so much going on. It gets crazy around here when school starts.

We went to Springfield yesterday to get an attendance book for me for my classroom, I also had to do a little paperwork, so I was at the pre-school for a little while yesterday. My friend Adriane called also, and we talked for a while.
Today we are going to church and then I have to clean house and do laundry. I start my college classes on Monday. I have a class Monday night and a class Tuesday night from 5:30-8:20PM. That will be rough. I will be tired. I think this will be a rough semester as far as me being tired, I think the classes will be ok, not so hard as the summer classes. We shall see. It was a good week at the pre-school. The kids are great. We have one new student so far and the rest are all returning students. I missed them so much, we have had so much fun this week.
Joshua had a good week at school too. He likes his teacher a lot so far. I hope it stays that way. we had trouble last year with a teacher and had to change him from her class to another class. This teacher seems really good though and I do not anticipate problems. My fingers are crossed anyway.
It has been a busy week. We went to my dad’s Tuesday night and tried to help him with his satellite remote control only to find out that it was not compatible at all with his satellite. They are sending him a different one, hopefully it works.
We have also been watching Snoopy all week. That is Karl’s mom and dad’s dog. Mandy drives him crazy trying to play with him and he hates it. She loved playing with her sister when we would watch them. It has been hard without Linda Mae here.
I am tired and ready for the weekend. I will try to visit as soon as I can. I hope you had a wonderful week and I hope it is a nice weekend for you too.

The wedding was beautiful yesterday. It was an evening wedding and then the reception was in Branson afterwards. It was fun. It was Joshua’s first wedding, so he had a really good time.
Today we are going to church and then we will come home and start cleaning house. I also need to get the laundry done and ready to go for the first week of school.
Karl’s parents are going out of town today, so they are bringing their dog Snoopy over for us to watch. He is a dachshund. He is really easy to take care of and he loves to sleep with Josh at night. Mandy sleeps with me.
Wow!! How about Michael Phelps? We got home just in time last night to see that USA won the relay and he got his 8th medal. I am so happy for him.

We had the pre-school decorated on Thursday, but we went shopping yesterday and bought new goodies for the classroom. We got jungle themed cuties for the walls, mostly circle time, so our calendar is jungle themed, we have a big giraffe growth chart, monkey bulletin board where the bananas say the kids name and the board says Top Bananas, toucan hanging from the ceiling saying “You Can Too”…among other things. It is adorable in there and we moved all of the centers around and the kid tables too. It looks totally different than it ever has. I love it, I get bored with how the classroom is layed out, so we had fun with it this year. It took us all day to get it decorated because everything was new and had to be laminated, etc…so I actually came home last night and ate dinner…Karl and Joshua then went to a baseball game, then I went back down to the pre-school and did some lesson plans and got things more organized. I think we are ready to go now for next week. We are going to work some more next Friday afternoon on things.
This evening is the wedding I had talked about once before. Our nephew Brandon is getting married. That is Karl’s oldest sister’s oldest son. The wedding is a 5PM and then the reception. I need to catch up on some of my tv shows today before we go to that. Have a great day!!
