Happy New Year’s Eve.!! We usually do not do much on New Year’s Eve. I am sure we will watch the ball drop tonight and maybe have some snacks, but that is about it. :ny2:
Yesterday I was able to get more of my kitchen cabinets cleaned out. They look pretty good now. Josh and Mandy played outside in the tree house. The temperature got to 65º, so it was a nice day to be out. Today it is going to be in the 30’s. I need to get some laundry done.
Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and if you go out, be safe!! I hope it is a wonderful year for all of us. It was a rough year for us here. Karl and I both lost a Grandma…Karl lost his Grandma Eddy and I lost my Granie Oslin, also Linda Mae was hit by a car (Mandy’s sister). There was a lot of rain and flooding around here in the Spring damaging the homes of many and destoying one of my students home. On a good note, Karl’s sister’s son (our nephew Brandon) graduated from college, got married, and started a new job. I am also making good progress in my college classes and I love my job. I have been blessed with lots of kids to teach and I look forward to more in 2009. I am also looking forward to Joshua’s reading tutoring in 2009. I hope it helps him a lot. It is with Sylvan. We have a lot to be thankful for, we have good jobs and a home to live in. We are healthy and we have cars to drive. We have our family/friends and God to watch after us. I wish all of you the best for 2009!! Happy New Year!!! :ny1:
It was 59º yesterday, so Josh and I went into town and I picked up my prescription and then went to wash the car. I also cleaned the inside of the car and washed the windows, so it looks really nice. I am sure it will rain now. It is actually supposed to be 60º today, so we need to get outside again. It is going to cool off after today.
Last night I went through my kitchen cabinets. I got some things from my Granie’s kitchen…bowls, measuring cups, etc (3 boxes of stuff). I got some things out for Christmas to use and I wanted to be able to use them again. I really do not have a lot of room, but I got into the cabinets and we had a lot of stupid stuff in there. I boxed up things we do not use and put in the things from my Granie. I know we will use the things from Granie.
We also watch a Bowl Game last night(football)…Mizzou was playing.
Oh and how could I forget. I got home from washing the car and Karl opens the door, Mandy runs out of the house and runs down the road. You can not catch up with Mandy, she runs fast, so I got a bone and sent it with Josh to take to Karl. She came running for the bone. She is so silly for food. We really need to train her to stay home, but she is always in our yard…which is fenced or in the house.
I do not have any plans for today yet. I wanted to get everything done yesterday so I could just relax and not have to do anything if I wanted. We shall see what I decide to do. Have a wonderful day!! I will be by to visit soon. :ny1:
We went to church yesterday and to Wal~Mart to pick up a few things. Then I got the house cleaned up and did the laundry. We also watched football games.
Today I am just relaxing. Karl is working for a few days and Josh and I will be home.
The weather is supposed to be pretty nice in the 50’s for the next two days, so that will be great. Josh will get to play outside. I may even take Mandy for a walk. I need to go to the pharmacy today or tomorrow too. That is about it. Have a nice day!! I will be by to visit soon.
I got my hair trimmed yesterday, so it is all ready for the new year. It is hard for me to find time to ever get my hair cut. I usually end up trimming my bangs myself.
I got a new pair of tennis shoes yesterday. I had found some shoes I really liked back when school started, but didn’t have any money. Well, I had some Christmas money, so I went to see if they still had them, of course they didn’t, but I found some other ones. I like them, but not as much as the ones I found to begin with. That is about how my luck runs.
It was really warm here yesterday. I believe it was 68º. The sun wasn’t even out. The weathermen are saying storms for today of course and a cold front will be moving through.
That is about all I did. I have been enjoying my time off so much and visiting all of my online friends. I will not be able to do this once I go back to work.
I better get off here. Have a nice weekend!! mas1:

4. Extend…you answer? blessings to you and your’s!!
Christmas was great. :christmaswreath: Josh had so much fun opening his gifts and Mandy did too. :santa3: Josh got lots of clothes and some computer games and a air hockey/ping pong table game from my parents. I had fun cooking and I think my parents were shocked that the food was actually good. My Granie was a great cook and it is hard to follow in her footsteps, but I did ok I think. The table was lovely. After dinner my parents played with Josh and his computer game and the game that they got him. He also took them out to his tree house. He had everyone up there in the tree house. It was funny. Last night we went to look at Christmas lights and I was exhausted at bedtime. It was a great day though. The kitchen is back to normal and clean.
Today I am going to have my hair cut. It needs it so bad. I am not sure what else I will do. It is supposed to be a warm day today. I am sure Josh and Mandy will play outside today. I will be by to visit sometime today. Have a great day!!
Merry Christmas!! mas3: We will be having Christmas right here at our house this year. We have always gone to my Granie’s house in Oklahoma, so this will be different for us. It will be nice to be home, but we will be missing Granie. We will have to start a new tradition I guess. I have the table decorated with red candles and confetti and a poinsettia. I have festive placemats too. My parents will be coming up early and my mom will help cook and we will eat when it is all done. We are making turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, deviled eggs, dressing, sweet potatoes, macaroni & cheese (Josh), and hot rolls. I was going to make a ham, and I still may, I will decide in the morning (I am posting the night before). I made an apple pie and chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. My mom is bringing chocolate pie and lemon pie. We will have lots of food. I also have crackers and meat to snack on, not that anyone will want to snack. We will also open presents sometime today. Josh will see what Santa brought too. :santa3: Mandy has lots of presents to open also. It will be fun. I will let you know how it goes. Merry Christmas!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! :christmaswreath:
It is Christmas Eve. Today I need to do laundry and clean up the house a little so it is all clean for company tomorrow. Then I need to do some baking, cookies and pies for tomorrow also.
Karl is working today, so I should be able to get my work done with no interruptions. Josh is very excited about Christmas. He can hardly wait!! He is so cute. Have a great day and enjoy!!
I am a 37 year old wife and mom. My son Joshua is 10 years old and I have been married for 11 years to my husband Karl. I teach at a pre-school and I am a Christian. We live in Missouri. I hope you enjoy your visit and come back very soon.
